Cheap hosting!

The nitty gritty

This is a static html blog generated by Pelican. I host on AWS and make good use of the various AWS services to keep organized and to keep costs low.

For less than $5 monthly I keep all my content and code in an AWS-hosted repo and my images and html and other site content are just a few files behind an AWS cloudfront CDN which provides SSL, caching, re-direction, and enough analytics that I don't have to use google.

I haven't decided if I'm going to add comments yet. I think I'll probably just link to my twitter so people can send me feedback there. Other than comments I have a few things left to clean up. The menu needs some work, I'm missing some images (notably one for the category this post is in), and I'd like to add RSS feeds even though that's probably just me being nostalgic for google reader.
