Deyarmont Lake
This spot actually shows up in the fishing regulations as a lake with all-year fishing (2021). I first looked it up last summer and had google maps plot out some driving directions which showed a lengthy route out on a highway and then back south to the water. The trip was 80km according to google maps and partly on divided highway making it lousy for a bicycle destination.
Now it's February and I'm thinking about ice fishing so I looked the lake up again. This time I just accidentally had google maps set to select bicycle routes instead of driving directions and now I see a route on a couple dirt roads that runs only 20km from the village near where I live. I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but now this is going to be my prime destination for early next year!
And the province even has a nice old-timey map of it! I wonder if I can get my kayak in and then camp on that island...
